Julia had the opportunity to bring together ten Smart City experts from around the world at the Global Forum 2014: Our Path to a Digital Future in Geneva Switzerland (17-18 Nov). From Smart libraries in Canada & Smart Transport in France through to #SmartGrey apps in Taiwan & Smart e-ID in Japan, her panel – Citizen-Centric Smart Cities - examined the way in which truly smart administrations start with a societal vision that places the citizen rather than IT at the centre of everything it does. The Global Forum in an internationally recognized think tank for exchange and networking among governments at national, regional & local levels, private & public organisations, and research & development experts.
